The great CL Smooth has returned with a brand new Diesel Beats produced single called "Anything For You" which features Kier.
CL Smooth released his debut solo album, American Me, in 2007. Mixtapes with J Period, and DJ Shakim followed and CL also was featured on guest vocals to songs by AZ ("Magic Hour"), Nujabes ("Sky is Falling") and Dipset affiliate J.R. Writer and Supafuh ("Act of Faith") to name a few.
He most recently participated in a remake of the Pete Rock & CL Smooth classic "Straighten It Out" which is titled "Our Generation" on the reworked version. The song was recreated by Grammy winners John Legend and The Roots while working on their "Wake Up!" record in 2011.
CL Smooth is currently working on multiple projects, including his second official solo LP titled "The Emancipation Of Corey Penn" and fans won't have to wait much longer as he will re-emerge with much more classic material soon.
